Bless the Bar helps- either sex,
keep them free from bouncing cheques.

Hallo zusammen,
sind kürzlich zum ersten Mal den River Suck hoch bis Ballinasloe.
Der Schleusenwärter hat uns hier 2 Flyer in die Hand gedrückt.
Eine Empfehlung haben wir getestet.
Gibbons Pillar House Bar & Restaurant.
Und....waren hoch zufrieden.
Unaufdringliche Livemusik. Sehr gutes Preis - Leistungsverhältnis.
Gute Küche. Ein Ort zum verweilen.

Frage an Skipper die schon mal in Clondra/Richmond Harbour waren

Bisher sind wir immer durch Tarmonbarry gefahren.......
Unsere Bootstypen waren immer zu breit für den Camlin River und Schleuse.  8)

Plane bereits 2018 (Silver Spray würde passen) und brauche für einen Samstag noch ein Pub mit Livemusik.
Außer dass sich die Fahrt wegen Natur/Romantik und schönem Richmond Harbour lohnt, - möchte ich sicher sein, ob es außer gutes Essen an den Samstagen im "The Richmond Inn", Livemusik gibt. Ist dies so?

Wenn nicht, ankern wir an diesem "Planungstag", - in Lanesborough. Da kennen wir uns aus.

Hallo Erwin,

garantieren kann dir das vermutlich niemand. Da hilft nur 1-2 Tage vorher anzurufen. Die Webseite sagt "There is live entertainment several times a year & for special occasions". Also kein regelmäßiges Programm, wie in Sean's Bar in Athlone, Luker's und Killeen's in Shannonbridge und diversen Pubs in Carrick-on-Shannon.

Es gibt eben so Stellen, an die man aus unterschiedlichen Gründen nie kommt und immer links oder rechts liegen lässt....

Da wir vom Norden her über Roosky kommen, werde ich trotzdem die Stunde hin, in den River mal einplanen.
Wenn "nix los ist", hauen wir eben wieder ab und tuckern evtl. sogar wieder - ohne Schleusenvorgang zurück.
Oder der Wärter ist vielleicht sogar ohne Wartezeit an der Clondra Lock vor Ort.
Nach Lanesborough wird dann das Tageslicht, schon noch reichen.  ???
