So entstehen Panikmeldungen und Latrinengerüchte (die ersten Nachrichten im IWAI-Forum waren ein herrliches Beispiel) - selbst der kurze Artikel sagt, auch ohne konkrete Zahlen zu nennen, doch ziemlich gut aus, dass dies NICHT der Fall ist (bis jetzt ... aber mehr kann man ja auch nicht sagen).

Die Firma verkleinert sich, es gibt Entlassungen und auch die Flotte wird verkleinert, damit geht Emerald Star "nur" den Weg, den die Mietwagenfirmen schon still und heimlich beschritten haben und den Aer Lingus auch gerade ansteuert.
Offiziell (Laura Hamley von Tui Marine) heisst es:
Due to the current economic climate and declining sales in Ireland, we have unfortunately had to review our operation and have subsequently taken the difficult decision to restructure and reduce some of our capacity in Ireland. As a result we will be reducing and restructuring our workforce.
