Lapdance II

Nein, Aprilscherz war's keiner. Die Announce im Longford Leader erschien aber bereits am 08.02 diesen Jahres. Hier der Originalartikel aus dem Irish Independent vom 09.02.2006

Locals lap up mystery of advert for new club

Liam Horan. Tongues were set wagging in a midlands village yesterday when it was revealed that the community may be getting its own version of Stringfellows.
Fewer than 600 people live in Tarmonbarry on the River Shannon, but an advertisement in yesterday's Longford Leader said a lapdancing club is planned for the village. And would-be dancers have been invited to submit their curriculum vitae to a box number printed with the ad.
Now locals are trying to find out if the lapdancing club is a genuine business proposition or a joke.
But Pat Costello, proprietor of the Shannon Bar said: "The first I heared about it was when I saw it in the paper. I'am definitely not opening it."
There is some speculation that the club may be based on a barge on the Shannon, which runs through Tarmonbarry.
However, a spokesperson for Keenan's public house believes the "whole thing is a big joke. We're not starting one anyway, and I don't think one is planned for Tarmonbarry at all."
